With Mother’s Day just 2 days away, I wanted to share with you some of the most clever, stylish and quick DIY Mother’s Day Gift Ideas I found this week – while searching for gift ideas on Pinterest.  I thought you might appreciate some ideas if you’re looking for inspiration.

You can find many of these on Etsy but did you know Amazon has launched a brand new {2 day prime shipping} marketplace called Amazon Handmade? Very exciting for handemade gift lovers!

Now onto the inspiration..

My Top 4 Picks From Pinterest

  1. Mom Paper Crown by Mr. Printables
by Mr. Printables

I love that dad can print this off for the kiddos to color or bedazzle with real jewels for mom. You can print it here either in gold or black: https://mrprintables.com/crown-mothers-day-card.html

2. Painted Wooden Recipe Box by The Sorry Girls

How beautiful is this modern recipe box craft from The Sorry Girls?! Find the tutorial on Youtube here (starts at 2:01 mins into the video): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6a-IKpmjo3o

This would be a great gift for a *foodie* mom, or a mom wanting to ‘up’ her kitchen skills this year.. or maybe trying to go vegan.  She also might just need to organize all her *fav* recipes into one chic spot!

I really love that you can do a water color inspired motif for a more boho or modern look; or paint it solid for a more elegant look. Either way its a very sweet & hip looking gift, moreso if you take into consideration the person’s kitchen colors when you paint!  (A kid inspired design would be a really sweet keepsake too <3).

I also would have never thought to use  lettered stickers to create a stamped look once you paint over it.. it looks really polished.  For an extra special touch you can add in some traditional family recipes from grandma or the other. women in the family.

3. Resign Pink, Gold Leaf Ring from daimblond on Etsy.

I just adore this resin ring made by daimblond on Etsy! I also found a tutorial on pinterest on how to make it (on my pinboard below).

*When working with resin, make sure to look up tips on safety or how to properly protect yourself.*

The goldleaf reminded me of Hera, the goddess of Motherhood and Marriage! Ha! How perfect is that for mother’s day?!

Considering that.. if you have a mom whose into greek mythology, or wanting to tap into her inner goddess.. this would make a great gift with a tidbit or two on Hera in a card.

4. If your mom is into Home Decor you can DIY some hanging baubles as seen on Kat Dizzle’s Tumblr

Peacock feathers are a wonderful boho style element that are also associated with Hera; they’re also a Native American shaman element. You can easily craft this by buying some clear glass (or plastic if your kiddos will be helping) ornaments from Michaels, or JoAnns – who seem to carry them all year round!

Some ideas on where to place them..  from a decorative tree, curtain rod – or by a window where the glass can catch the light and can bring a focus to the pretty feathery textures.

What I’m Gifting This Year

This year many of the women in my family have either been affected by health challenges, or overwhelming life stresses –  as a result, I took that into consideration when shopping for gifts . I decided to go with a “stress” relieving theme that’s also in line with an area I’ve been learning about this year –  aromatherapy & essential oils!

I also have some time saving tricks that have helped me stay on top of my gift giving throughout the year, while also saving as much as possible – and not sacrificing thoughtfulness and love! If you want to know how this busy homeschooling and blogging momma does that.. please subscribe to my email/newsletter below. I’ll be creating a blog post and video where I’ll be sharing that just in time for Father’s Day.

Want to see the Mother’s Day Gifts we did this year?

Checkout out what I ended up gifting the moms in my life by following me on Facebook and Instagram, I’ll be sharing snippets of our crafting and gifting this weekend.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post! If you’re a mom reading this –  I hope you have a wonderful and blissful Mother’s Day!
